Morning – Arrival & Orientation

Arrival in Jerusalem from the Jordan Valley, followed by an introduction to the city’s geography, history, and significance.

The Old City of Jerusalem

A focused walking experience through the heart of the Old City, where centuries of history unfold within a compact area.

Optional Extension – Bethlehem Visit

As an optional extension, and subject to time availability, the program can be enhanced with a visit to Bethlehem.

This visit is guided by a licensed Palestinian guide, in accordance with local regulations, and provides valuable cultural and historical perspective.

The Bethlehem visit includes:

• The Church of the Nativity

• Manger Square and surrounding areas

• If time permits, the Shepherds’ Fields, adding biblical and pastoral context

This extension is available at an additional cost and depends on border procedures, traffic conditions, and the overall pace of the day.

Important Operational Update (January 2026)

At present, a same-day visit to Jerusalem from Jordan is not operationally feasible.

As of January 2026, the official opening and closing hours of the Israel–Jordan border crossings do not allow completion of a full Jerusalem day tour within the same day.

Border procedures, security checks, and travel times make a same-day return to Jordan impractical.

Current Practical Operation

Until border operating hours return to extended schedules, this program is operated as follows:

• Border crossing from Jordan into Israel

• Full guided day in Jerusalem

• Overnight stay in Jerusalem

• Transfer the following day either:

  • Back to the Allenby / King Hussein Bridge, or

  • To Ben Gurion International Airport

This structure allows the Jerusalem experience to unfold calmly and meaningfully, without time pressure or operational risk.

Should border hours change in the future, the program may again be offered as a true same-day tour.
