Description

Day 1 (Thursday) – Flight to Israel. On arrival at Ben Gurion international airport you will be met near the plane by VIP representative and escorted to your vehicle for comfortable transfer to Dan Hotel Tel Aviv. Conveniently shared only with members of your group arriving on the same flight. 

Day 2:  (Friday) Start the day by visiting the ancient core of this area, Jaffa. Enjoy strolling through the narrow streets where we feel the ambiance of this ancient city. Whose port was the largest in Israel for thousands of years.Today Jaffa is a magical place that attracts Israelis, Christian's pilgrims as well as tourists from all over the world. 

Proceed to visit "Ayalon institute” (the bullet factory) a clandestine operation that produced ammunition to the Israelis under the nose of the British its existence was secret, located underground: Then return to Tel Aviv by passing by Rothschild street, the heart of the "white city" that has been declared a World Heritage Site of UNESCO because of the multitude of houses built in a very special architectural style. On our way to the hotel we will stop by at Rabin square where Yitzchak Rabin assassinated by a right wing extremist 20 years ago. Back to Dan Tel Aviv  hotel (B)

Day 3 (Saturday) – leave Tel Aviv in the morning and drive along the coastal road to the Roman city, Caesarea which was one of the major ports of the east, built mostly by King Herod The Great. Then we continue north to drive through Haifa the city built on the slopes of the Carmel. There we overlook the impressive Bahai gardens and the seaward view to the north of Israel. Then a northwards drive to the city of Acre for magnificent step back in history. Here we visit the Knights Halls, a series of very well preserved halls that were constructed at the Crusaders era in the 12 century.  Then we continue to the most northerly Israeli point on the Mediterranean Sea "Rosh Hanikra" to admire the spectacular grottos created by the sea in the white chalk rock. Then we drive east to Tiberias for overnight at the Scots hotel. (B,D)

Day 4 (Sunday)– Today we will focus on the Christian sites of the Galilee and there are many.  We start with Nazareth "the church of the annunciation" the site where the angel announced Mary’s immaculate conception. Then enjoy an olden time in  the "Nazareth Village" that reenacts the life in Nazareth and the entire land of Israel at the beginning of the Roman era: It sheds light on the daily life at the time of Jesus. Continue our journey to a major Roman and Byzantine city Sepphoris.  Here the inhabitants decorated their houses in an exceptional way so Seppharus is also known as "the city of mosaics" named because of the multitude of mosaics in the streets, villas, and public buildings. We then head back to the Scots Hotel for overnight. (B,D)


Day 5 (Monday) – A day of wonderful views and places and interesting information. we are going to the Golan Heights. Starting with Mount Bental to get a great view and perspective of the area including the border with Syria,  Then continue to "the valley of tears” a strategic battleground from 1973 and the surrounding area. Proceed to Elrom cinema and watch an authentic movie about the great armory battle that took place “very nearby” during the "Yom Kipur War" 1973. Then we head on to "Birkat Ram" to take pleasure in the view of the tranquil and mysterious lake in a caldera of volcano. A very special phenomenon. Continuing onwards to the beautiful Banias with its abundance of nature, rushing water , waterfalls and a complex of well preserved temples . A wonderful place to visit.Overnight at the scots. (B,D)

Day 6 (Tuesday) -  Be ready to leave the wheels and take to the water as we head out to the Sea of Galilee .All aboard for a boat ride on the sea of Galilee where many stories  in the New Testament took place .(tiberias-ginosar),  Take a short walk to the ancient boat museum at Ginosar to learn how a boat was found in the sea of Galilee then excavated and found to date back to the time of Jesus.  Then we proceed to the Mount Of  Beatitudes, serene, pious and calming place  to see the church and the view of the whole lake. Enter into history as we reach Caphernaum a spiritual place  – "the town of Jesus" visit an archeological site from the time of Jesus that includes both a church and a synagogue.  Tour a kibbutz, a special settlement that exist only in Israel. Closing our day we head south through the Judean desert to overnight at Ein-Gedi.(B,D)

Day 7 (Wednesday) – An Oasis awaits us! The nature reserve of Ein Gedi .Appreciate this magnificent oasis in the heart of the Judean desert. waterfall, nature paths surrounded by desert, Then prepare yourselves for an unforgettable story of determination, as we head towards the majestic Masada with its breathtaking views;  Back to Ein-Gedi and to round up our day at the botanical garden of this Kibbutz. Overnight at Ein-Gedi. (B,D)

Day 8 (Thursday) – Beer Sheva is our first stop of the day where we wander round the Air Force Museum, with its diversity of aircrafts and helicopters used by the Israeli Air Force. Later you’ll be intrigued by having a glimpse of Israeli agriculture in the desert. Hear how desert is turned into green fields when we visit the research and development center of the Negev desert. Then back to the desert as we press on to Miztpe Ramon to see the largest crater in the world an erosion crater the “Machtesh”.  Continuing south until we reach the border crossing in Eilat and cross to Jordan. , O/N Kempinski Hotel, Aqaba (B,D)

Day 09 (Friday) - Today we Venture off to Wadi Rum to experience the serenity of this moonlike landscape the place Lawrence of Arabia lived. Leave the road to board your jeep to venture on a 4 hours jeep safari in the red sands of wadi Rum: After your  lunch in Bedouin camp Zarb we drive to Petra: In the evening more knowledge of a different kind..you will have a special activity given to you by by the professional and  friendly chefs as they instruct you how to make appetizing authentic Jordanian dishes at the PETRA KITCHEN. Then sit and enjoy the delicious dishes you have prepared this a wonderful experience and a pleasant change from dinner at the hotel , O/N at Movenpick Hotel, Petra (B,L,D)


Day 10 (Saturday) - Visit one of the new wonders of the world “Petra”,walk down the famous Siq to be awed by the treasury, the tombs with their swirls of colors in the rocks and marvel at this incredible place . Enjoy lunch at Basin restaurant before rambling back to the vehicle to, drive to Dead Sea for overnight  at Kempinski of other 5* hotel (B,L,D)


Day 11 (Sunday) -Depart from your hotel to travel to Mount Nebo to Look across at Israel from the place that Moses saw the Holy land. Continue the short drive to Madaba to visit St Georges church with its famous mosiac of the map. Hard to believe the accuracy of it!  Then northwards to Jerash with the preserved ancient roman city showing the grandeur of Imperial Rome , Then lunch at Lebanese house in Jerash before returning cross to Israel by either the  Allenby  crossing or Sheik Hussein crossing, O/N American Colony Hotel Jerusalem (B,L,D )

 

Day 12 (Monday) – Back in the Holy Land in the Holy City Jerusalem. The day starts at mount of olives to see the old city of Jerusalem; There's no doubt that this is one of the most awe inspiring view points in the world. Continue to the Jaffa gate to walk the via Dolorosa to the holiest place for Christianity which is the The Church Of The Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected. Continuing to the wailing wall and visit the Western Wall Tunnels. The archaeological discoveries excavated in a vast concealed tunnel along the Western Wall will astound you, the history and archaeology will amaze you. Visit the City of David – the place that everything began, and see the ruins of the city 3000 thousands years ago. Walk through a tunnel that other feet trod to reach the temple from the city: This tunnel was used by the inhabitants of Jerusalem 2000 years ago:  Overnight in Jerusalem (B,D)

Day 13 (Tuesday) – The Israel Museum is our first stop of the day, there we see the model of second period of Jerusalem and also the "shrine of the book" that housed the "dead sea scrolls". Continue to Yad Vashem for a visit. This is the most impressive holocaust museum in the world. An impressive design by a Canadian Jewish man named Moshe Safdi. Rounding up the day with a trip to Bethlehem to visit the church of the nativity which is the birth place of Christ.  Today we will enjoy a local lunch at the Grotto Restaurant located next to the Shepherd Fields in Bet Sahur, We round of our day in the Cremisan Cellars  located at the Cremisan monastery, visit the winery & enjoy wine tasting as you glance across the outstanding view which overlooks Bethlehem and the Southern area of Jerusalem

•In the evening learn more of the history of this amazing city as we enjoy the sound and light show – The night spectacular  at the David citadel (operated 3 times a week, might be changed to another night in Jerusalem ) – (B,L,D)

Day 14 (Wednesday) – free day in Jerusalem, transfers to Ben Gurion Airport AP in accordance with your flight departure, meet a VIP representative who will assist you with all VAT refunds, security & passport control regulations :(please remember hotel check out time till 12:00) (B)
